Members

Trading via the SENAF is restricted to the Members of the platform. To become a SENAF member it is necessary to fulfil a number of conditions (described in "how to become a member") in order to guarantee the solvency of the counterpart.

Those participants of the market who are authorised to enter orders electronically in the SENAF are called "Members".

There are two categories of members:

Broker Members:
who are authorised to engage in broker trading in the System. These Members cannot place positions on their own account, but rather act on behalf of the Dealer Members.  They receive dealers’ orders and transmit them to the System to be executed.
Dealer Members:
who are authorised to deal in the System. These Members can carry out operations in the System and act with either full or restricted capacity, whether directly or via the Broker Members.  They are bound to fulfil the requirements demanded by the body in charge of clearance and settlement of operations carried out in the System.
